A practice-based research project exploring the potential of amateur craft activities on wellbeing. Using the workshop as a space to gather primary research, I ran a number of community-based activities over the summer of 2016. Utilising ethnographic research methodology, I investigated the reasons why it feels good to make things with your hands. As a conclusion to my findings, I produced a set of guidelines outlining considerations for workshop practitioners working in the field of craft for wellbeing. This project was run and written up as my final masters thesis.
